Open & Candid Investigations
Investigative work is the foundation of Open & Candid, we were instrumental in discovering many exclusive stories about the PPE and Covid Contracts during the pandemic. Our work continues to create much interest on Social Media platforms, we collaborate with many different media outlets, and recently we were listed as an organisation to follow by media personality Carol Vorderman, in her latest book 'Now What?'.
We have built up hundreds of millions rows of data, including data that relates to National & Local Government Contract Awards, Government Spend, Charity Income & Expenditure, Political Donations, Land Ownership, Court Cases and much more.

'An Investigative Platform' - Sunday Times
We were contacted by a journalist from a national newspaper in the UK. He was working on a story regarding the awarding of Covid Contracts during the pandemic, with a particular focus on a related group of companies.
The key objectives was to understand and prove that the contracts had been awarded and that the connections between the companies involved could be highlighted.
Through our database we were able to establish that in the region of 100 connected companies had been awarded contracts by national and local government. We could also provide information on how the directors of these companies were linked and establish that one family in particular had benefitted from substantial contracts totalling over £2.6 billion.
